I go on walking meditations to break up my workdays and try to keep my phone in my pocket and my eyes on the path I am walking through. I am looking for new details in the overgrowth. New patterns in the leaves where the caterpillars have nibbled. I don’t know why, but I didn’t expect to see so much trash. I couldn’t leave it behind, so it became part of my paintings. When you see it in my paintings it is no longer part of the landscape.
