Weeds grow out of the cracks of sidewalks all over south Philly, but when I came upon this one it stopped me in my tracks. It’s composition was just perfect. So I surprised it with a photo shoot, thanked it for being so effortlessly beautiful and went on my way. I never forgot about it though, and eventually I ended up drawing it and giving it the limelight it deserves in this piece.
